Celebrate Independence Day in Parker!

The Town of Parker and Xfinity are proud to bring back the full-scale Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration! Join us from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, July 4 at Salisbury Park.

Free activities include a 6 Million Dollar Band concert, walk-around entertainers and carnival with prizes. Low-cost activities include a tot train, face painting, bungee jumping, light-up toys and a variety of food vendors.

Eventgoers may bring food, non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, lawn chairs and hand-held umbrellas into the event. We respectfully request leaving pets at home. No tents, canopies, sport umbrellas, non-handheld shade structures, yard games, grills, on-site cooking, alcohol, drones, fireworks or unauthorized vendors are allowed.

With recent regional fire events and fire ban risk, the Town has chosen to try a new and innovative finale experience in place of fireworks—a drone light show. The 12-minute display will start at 9:30 p.m. and feature designs and choreographed movements from 150 drones set to patriotic music. Optimal viewing will be from Salisbury Park at the event. As we have not hosted a drone show before, we cannot guarantee visibility outside the park. The Town recognizes the tradition of Independence Day fireworks. As such, the drone show is a trial for 2022.

Event Weather Advisory System

While we hope for ideal conditions during the Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration, Colorado weather can change rapidly. Event staff will share notifications as necessary following a Weather Advisory System. Announcements will be made on the event stage, on social media (@TownOfParkerCO) and via staff, volunteers and color-coded flags around the park.

It is each patron’s responsibility to stay aware of notifications. There are no buildings to provide shelter at the park. Should inclement weather arrive, the evacuation plan is to shelter in your vehicle. Plan how you will seek shelter, if needed, and account how far away your vehicle is, if you walked or biked to the event, if you have limited mobility and if you have young children.

Attendees are encouraged to sign up for mobile alerts from CodeRED at www.ParkerOnline.org/CodeRED. This system allows public safety personnel to send messages to your phone during emergencies.

Parking Information

The park and parking lots for the Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration open at 5 p.m. Monday, July 4. Parking is $10 per vehicle, cash only, with no in-and-out parking. Both north and south parking lots may be accessed from either direction of Motsenbocker Road. Handicap accessible parking will also be available inside Salisbury Park. Parking will sell out and Motsenbocker Road will close to traffic once lots are full, re-opening when lots are cleared. Attendees may also walk or bike to the park.
